Those in charge of the Chita jail promise not to delay in producing the character reference for Khodorkovsky that is necessary for his parole request to be considered.

The head of the Chita pre-trial detention centre promises to present the Ingodinsky district court with a reference for the former head of Yukos in good time. “Everything that depends on us will be done in good time, be accurate and meet established deadlines,” added Junus Amayev, the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Chita Region, in conversation with the Interfax-Siberia agency.

The head of the detention centre, in his words, will confirm the reference for Khodorkovsky, “That is part of his job,” Amayev said.
