On 7 and 9 October Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev will have their terms in custody extended

Chita Regional Court on 7 and 9 October plans to hear the petition of the investigation for the extension until 2 February 2009 of the pretrial detention centre custodial terms of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev.

“On 7 October Chita Regional Court will hear the investigation’s petition to have the pretrial detention centre custodial term of Mikhail Khodorkovsky extended until 2 February 2009,” lawyer Boris Gruzd reported to the Interfax-Siberia agency.

Lawyer Alexei Miroshnichenko reported in turn to the agency that on 9 October Chita Regional Court will hear the petition for the extension until the 2 February 2009 of the custodial term in pretrial detention of Platon Lebedev.

He added that on 13 October Chita Regional Court intends beginning the hearing of the joint appeal by Khodorkovsky and Lebedev’s lawyers.
